Raids can you solo 85

By Elizabeth Harper faience. However, there are plenty of reasons: To collect transmog gear, especially tier sets. To collect pets, like those needed for Raiding with Leashes achievements. To collect mounts, which you would have had to be extremely lucky to get in an actual raid group. To earn reputation, which a number of raids and dungeons provide. To earn achievements, of which there are many. To earn gold by looting and selling everything you come across.

Now, on to the raiding! Tricky Bits: Most of these bosses can be brute forced at max levels, with a couple of exceptions. Tricky Bits: Karazhan is large and multi-level, which makes it a bit of a maze. Okay, it makes it a lot of a maze. We like this map for finding our way around. The only really difficult part here is the chess event , which takes some luck for a solo player to manage. The event involves playing a game of chess against Medivh, who happens to cheat. No, really, the elevators have a huge kill count.

The final boss, Lady Vashj , is time-consuming to solo — especially for melee classes — but not particularly difficult. Tricky Bits: Flame Leviathan involves using a vehicle kill the boss — and fights like this are always tricky to solo. We definitely recommend starting this one on player mode and not trying to do it with towers up on your first attempt or attempts. Mimiron is a complicated, multi-stage fight that can be particularly difficult for melee as during phase 3 Mimiron is at range.

Yogg-Saron , the final boss, is also tricky. Kill adds until Yogg spawns, then kill tentacles use AoE to break away if they grab you until portals spawn. Tricky Bits: Another vehicle encounter, the Gunship Battle has the Alliance and Horde facing one another from their respective gunships. To win this one, pick up rocket pack before combat starts by talking to the NPC on your ship — equip it, which will let you hop between ships during the fight.

When you start the encounter another NPC conversation , hop in a cannon and start firing — use 1 to generate heat and 2 to use that heat for a big attack. Eventually an enemy mage will lock you out of your guns — hop to the enemy ship to take out the mage, then hop back to your ship to kill adds. Repeat with the canon and rocket pack hopping until you win.

Struggling to figure this one out? Valithria Dreamwalker is a backwards kind of fight: you must heal Valithria win this one. If you have no healing abilities, bandages will do in all but the highest difficulty levels — just be sure to bring some along with you.

Arthas is an easy win in lower difficulty levels — and even becomes completely yawn-worthy at times while you wait for your chance to do damage between scripted moments.

DPS him and be patient during the scripted bits. Nefarian is a multi-part fight. When the adds on the first platform are dead, move to the next and repeat until the adds on all platforms are dead, triggering phase 3.

Now you just have to burn Nefarian down. Primarily difficult because of the number of adds and their ability to CC you in a Crystal Prison. Easy to solo; ignore the adds and burn the boss down. His adds can not be killed and will be rez by Golemagg as soon as they die, if you have a pet that is able to tank them away from this boss, might make his a little easier. Kill him as quickly as possible, though, because there does not appear to be any limit on the number of stacks of his armor-reducing debuff that may be applied.

Each stack reduces armor by and it stacks rapidly. It may seem impossible at first, because of the perpetual heals from the Flamewaker Priest adds, but they will eventually run out of mana, and they will not regenerate enough to heal him again once they do. They have little heath as well at about 75k, for a faster fight Single target each add and burst each down, should take 1 or 2 shots they heal they cast takes 2 sec to fully cast.

If you AoE is strong enuff then you may AoE the adds down while bursting the boss. Relatively simple, you can't kill Majordomo himself, but he will surrender once all of his adds are down. All his adds have k ish heath. Blow all AoE cool downs and they should die quickly Move out of the coal pit if you get teleported into it, because it's marginal but unnecessary damage on yourself.

Be warned that if you fail at soloing Ragnaros, you may have to defeat Majordomo again, depending on how long you wait to re-attempt him. At level 85, this boss does very little damage to you. They deal no physical damage, only Fire damage, so Hand of Protection is useless against them; save that for falling damage. Where to stand to avoid falling damage when soloing Ragnaros. The green dot is where Executus was standing. Note that it is possible to completely avoid falling damage by standing in the location shown in the screenshot to the right; when Ragnaros knocks back from here, standing there will result in being knocked into the lava.

Regardless, be prepared for falling damage anyhow; standing at even a slightly different angle may cause it. Parachute Cloak and Flexweave Underlay can reduce falling damage if your class does not have an ability that already does that. Also, use any defensive cooldown after being knocked back, because you will periodically take about fire damage per tick every few seconds before returning to melee range of Ragnaros.

Don't forget that you can also spec into situational talents like [Lichborne] , which will allow you to heal yourself with [Death Coil] , or Bloodworms for a minor HPS gain, but these talents are not normally part of current raid tanking specs; you would only use them for PvP, DPS, or "solo old content" specs.

Xanathol , Jan 29, Sindaiann , Jan 29, Vdidar , Spellfire , Sindaiann and 1 other person like this. IblisTheMage , Jan 29, I could see house upper being soloable not by me. Possibly the shards landing raid lots of mobs, an SK could tap them enough although doing the murder mystery depending on mechanics with 1 in zone may be interesting.

Most of the NToV dragons I could see being soloable, just a matter of how long it takes for someone to nail it. Most are pretty simple tank n spank mobs. Danela's stand in rof, maybe. It's got achivements for ignoring the orcs so maybe with enough self healing. Bigstomp , Jan 29, Tadenea , Jan 30,
