McKay discusses the nature of a true education, as follows: What, then, is true education? It is an awakening of love of truth, a giving of a just sense of duty, an opening of the eyes of the soul to the great purpose of life. It is not so much giving words as thoughts; not mere maxims so much as living principles.
True education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. Education is a process in which and by which the knowledge, characters and behavior of the human being are shaped and molded.
It distinguishes human being from other creations. The process of education is not only self- realization of the individual but it is also to bring into action the potential in man.
As you think about the four basic purposes of school: academic intellectual , political and civic purposes, socialization, and economic purposes, what do you think? Aims of education give direction to the activities to be pursued within the society in order to solve problems of the people or society. Aims of education are formulated by the people themselves according to the needs of the situation of the people.
Education lessens the challenges you will face in life. The more knowledge you gain the more opportunities will open up to allow individuals to achieve better possibilities in career and personal growth. Education has played an important role in the career world of the twenty-first century. Having an education puts us in the best place to have a secured future for ourselves.
We can think outside the box to come up with productive ideas which can do us good. Education helps us in each and every field of our life. To me education is the gateway to success. No person in the world with education is neglected. It is the third eye of the person, because when we gain education, we get to know about things in the world without even seeing them.
